Our Peculiar Family • Macy Family Art
Thursday, March 16 - Sunday, May 7
Free Reception: Thursday, March 16, 6:30-8:30pm
Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St. East
The Macy children discovered they excelled in art and music at a very young age. Their eyes see beauty that others sometimes miss and in this beauty see purpose and meaning. From a decrepit old building or the many colors found on a rusty old car, to the barren stillness of our desert valley, to a wondering child’s face, they believe the world around them reflects the beauty and glory of its Creator. Working in a variety of mediums, the Macys enjoy using graphite, colored pencil, pen and ink, watercolor, pastels and paper collage. This display can be viewed free during any public event.

City of Palmdale and Palmdale Repertory Theater present
Disney Beauty and The Beast
Friday, March 24, 8 pm
Saturday, March 25, 2pm & 8pm
Sunday, March 26, 2pm
Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St. East
Based on the 1991 smash hit Disney movie and dating back to a late 18th-century classic French fairy tale, Beauty and The Beast tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. The Beast’s enchanted household — populated by such beloved characters as Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth and Chip — watch anxiously as Belle and the Beast grow to understand and befriend one another. Their feelings grow ever deeper as the clock ticks and petals continue to fall off the enchanted rose. Will they confess their love for one another before it is too late?
Disney’s Beauty and The Beast is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
